"A great read. Okay the killer was obvious but I really enjoy this author's writing style. It's got nice little quips that make me chuckle. The characters are as warm and friendly as the first book. Yeah I know that the dead woman was a bit of a witch but the rest are great.
Her business is slow to get started but it doesn't help that a vindictive senior seems to have her in her sights. Protests, newspaper articles and cats are the weapons of choice leading to a lot of gritting of teeth and some careless remarks that bite back when she finds the woman dead but doesn't report it. Now she has been charged with her murder. Can she find the real killer? All she knows is that the killer wears expensive shoes."

All she knows is that the killer wears expensive shoes. - If you're looking for a light fast read in a cozy mystery, you will enjoy this book. This one is the second of this series and could be read as a stand-alone. The protagonist is a young woman with a dog who is her constant companion. There is light romance and of course a mystery to be solved. One of the things I like most about this is that even though the protagonist investigates on her own she communicates her discoveries to a policeman. The differences in the attitudes and personalities of the main character and her best friend give a bit more depth if you want to consider it. As I said, if you like cozys, you should enjoy this.
